Senior Night

Braiden’s last home game has come and gone. It was weird to think about this being the last time we would see him play on this field. Here is the recap from the game. 

Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles Drop Game To Orem Varsity Tigers After Late Score

Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles stayed in it until the end, but Orem Varsity Tigers pulled away late in a 4-2 victory on Tuesday at MAPLE MOUNTAIN BASEBALL FIELD. The game was tied at two in the top of the seventh when Jaxtin Johnson singled, scoring two runs.

A sacrifice fly by Easton Davies put Orem Varsity Tigers on the board in the top of the second.

Colby Warren hit into a fielder's choice, which helped Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth.

A solo home run to center field by Cy Chrisman gave Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fifth.

Owen Miller hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Orem Varsity Tigers tie the game at two in the top of the sixth.

KJ Decker earned the win for Orem Varsity Tigers. The reliever gave up one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking two. Braden Nutall took the loss for Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles. The righty went one inning, giving up one run on one hit, striking out one and walking two. Jake Roscher stepped on the hill first for Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Miller opened the game for Orem Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking three. Landon Nix earned the save.

Braiden Catterson, Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in two at-bats. Chrisman and Warren each drove in one run for Maple Mountain Varsity Golden Eagles.

Johnson led Orem Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Miller led Orem Varsity Tigers with two hits in two at bats. Orem Varsity Tigers worked the count all day, accumulating six walks.
